Article Abstract:

Occupational health nurses working the air travel industry must deal with a wide range of issues. They must advise those working on the ground on issues such as protecting their skin and their hearing, and must monitor those at risk of musculoskeletal damage. Work with cabin crew will include identifying signs of physical and psychological stress and carrying out medicals on staff who have taken time off work because of illness.

Article Abstract:

The alienation of prison medical staff from mainstream nursing jobs will be reduced by an working initiative being established by the National Health Service (NHS) Executive and the Joint Prison Service. Developing opportunities for prison staff to crossover to mainstream health service employment will be made possible by the partnership, which will also encourage NHS staff to take part in job swap placements within prisons.
