Managing venous disease with red wine leaf extract

Article Abstract:

Chronic venous insufficiency is caused by venous and capillary hypertension, which leads to a persistent, chronic, venous, stasis in the skin of the lower leg. Using honey as a dressing for infected skin lesions

Article Abstract:

Honey has proved effective in a case in which multiple, non-healing infected lesions were very difficult to manage because of the pain they caused. Honey had an anti-inflammatory effect, and also reduced pain because it did not adhere to the wound tissue as a layer of liquid formed between the wound and the dressing.
