Management of cervical adenocarcinoma in situ during pregnancy

Article Abstract:

The aim of the study was to review the collective experience managing cervical adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS) during pregnancy. It was concluded that management of cervical AIS during pregnancy by early second trimester cold knife conization (CKC) is safe for mother and fetus.

Surgical risk reduction: Prophylactic salpingo-oophorectomy and prophylactic mastectomy

Article Abstract:

The efficacy of prophylactic surgery and potential surgical complications are discussed. Data about the frequency of use and psychosocial impact of prophylactic surgery in young women is also presented along with general treatment guidelines for the practicing clinician.

Successful surgical treatment of a primary liver gastrinoma during pregnancy: A case report

Article Abstract:

A case of a sporadic primary liver gastrinoma in a young woman, in whom the definitive diagnosis was reached, is presented. The process of diagnosis and the surgical therapy performed on the patient during pregnancy are discussed.
