Fighting HIV- Lessons from Brazil

Article Abstract:

Brazil's persistent and aggressive efforts to prevent new HIV infections that have played a great role in slowing the spread of the virus and containing the country's epidemic are reported. Brazil's emphasis on prevention as well as treatment has helped to keep its epidemic relatively contained and safe providing a model for the expansion of treatment programs elsewhere.

Article Abstract:

The extensive public health programs of Chines government have led to a successful control of HIV infection spread in China. The HIV control strategies also include public education of AIDS and distribution of antiretroviral drugs.
