Stimulation of distal airspace fluid clearance in guinea pigs involves bumentanide-sensitive ion transport
Article Abstract:
The involvement of bumentanide-sensitive ion transport in beta-adrenoceptor stimulation of fetal lung fluid absorption in near-term guinea pig fetuses is examined. The fetal distal airspace fluid clearance is increased by the beta-adrenoceptor stimulation from endogenous fetal epinephrine.

The effects of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (LDL) on leukocyte-endothelial interactions in pregnant rats are examined. The administration of oxidized LDL during pregnancy attenuated the in vivo interactions between rat endothelium and leukocytes.
