Etanercept plus standard therapy for Wegener's granulomatosis

Article Abstract:

Majority of patients with Wegener's granulomatosis have disease flares after conventional medications are tapered and there are no consistently safe, effective treatment for the maintenance of remission. A randomized, placebo-controlled trial is conducted to evaluate etanercept for the maintenance of remission in patients with Wegener's granulomatosis.

Modafinil for excessive sleepiness associated with shift-work sleep disorder

Article Abstract:

The use of modafinil for treating sleepiness in patients with shift-work sleep disorder is evaluated. The results revealed that treatment with 200 mg of modafinil reduced the extreme sleepiness observed in patients with shift-work sleep disorder and resulted in small but significant improvement in performance as compared with placebo.
