Enlarged prostate: Therapies have advanced
Article Abstract:
Several minimally invasive laser therapies are developed to treat enlarged prostate glands. One such laser is the photoselective vaporization of the prostate or PVP that uses a high-energy potassium titanyl phosphate laser and is used successfully on prostate glands of varying sizes.

Issues concerning the use of laser treatment are presented. The beneficial uses of lasers for the destruction of abnormal tissue, sealing of blood vessels, destruction of tumors and sculpting of tissue are discussed.
