Article Abstract:

The relationship between cocaine-associated violence and route of administration were analyzed. Results showed that free base or crack smoking and intravenous injection use generally produced the samelevel of violence. However, free base and intravenous injection produced more violence than nasal insufflation. Violence requiring sustained activity such asrape, burglary and armed robbery had no relationship to route of cocaine administration. Gender difference with regard to violence varied according to circumstances and not the route of administration.
