An estimated 16 to 17% of women will not have children in their lifetime. These women face discrimination and patronization by people with children. People often cannot understand the decision not to have children or the medical problems that prevent pregnancy.

Issues are presented concerning the difficulties which are faced by women who have larger-than-average feet. The attitudes of sales personnel to women with large feet are described. The importance of self-confidence is discussed.
