Article Abstract:

A case study of a full-term newborn girl with multiple skin lesions (cutaneous erosions and papules) on the face, trunk, arms, and legs since birth is detailed. The infant was closely monitored for first year of life, without any treatment due to the risk of development of multiorgan-system Langerhans'cell histiocytosis.

Case 23-2003: A 79-year-old woman with gastric lymphoma and erosive mucosal and cutaneous lesions

Article Abstract:

A 79-year-old woman with sores on her skin and in her mouth was diagnosed with paraneoplastic pemphigus caused by a type of stomach cancer called MALT lymphoma. Pemphigus is a skin disease and paraneoplastic means it was caused by the cancer. She was treated with a drug called rituximab but died about five months later.
