Bullous skin disorders

Article Abstract:

Pempigus vulgaris, dermatitis herpetiformis, erythema multiforme and pemphigoid are each distinct forms of primary bullous skin disorders. They may present similarily, but have different outcomes. Bullous pemphigoid and pemphigus vulgaris are immunologically mediated disorders which result in blisters, mainly in the axilla, groin and flexural areas. Treatments include powders, ointments and creams.

Managing excoriation

A description is presented of the treatment with hydrogels which was given to three patients suffering from excoriation of the skin as a result of faecal and urinary incontinence.
