The comparative benefits of Novo Nordisk's Levemir (insulin determir), which has been introduced in United Kingdom (UK) market, for treating diabetes over other similar drugs produced by different companies have been discussed. The approval hurdles faced by Novo Nordisk's Levemir (insulin determir) in the United States and another diabetes drug developed by Novo Nordisk that is undergoing clinical trials has been described.
