Article Abstract:
The 1992 presidential elections ushered in a new era in politicking withthe use of direct, unfiltered messages to the people. These came in the form ofinfomercials, talk show appearances and town hall meetings, all of which are referred to as 'alternative media,' which provides direct links to the voters. Both Bill Clinton and Ross Perot were able to use these forms of communication to their fullest extent.
