The story of a couple adopting a child whose father claims him back is told. Particular attention is given to aspects regarding the adoptive parents worries about the child's adaptation to life with his father. The father and the adoptive parents collaborate for the child's benefit.

Article Abstract:

Kimberley Marshall and David Crenshaw were two cystic fibrosis patients who fell in love. After only a few years of marriage, Crenshaw died and within 24 hours of his funeral Marshall fell into a coma and died as well.
