The thunderbolt bird soars again

The peregrine falcon can dive at a speed of 175 miles per hour, making it the world's fastest bird. The species became threatened in the 1960s, but a conservation program has released more than 4,300 peregrine falcons in both wilderness and urban areas in the US.
