Ways in which a young girl copes with the death of her mother are described. Particular attention is given to the relationship between mother and daughter before the mother's death. Details of the close and loving relationship between mother and daughter are given.

"I drank, I drove my friend died." (recollections on a drunk driving incident)(includes related article on the physiological effects of alcohol)

Article Abstract:

A woman who drove with friends after they all had been drinking survived a resulting accident, but a friend in her car was killed. The driver describes her pain and guilt and her subsequent felony conviction. The effects of drinking are discussed.
