The 1999 Yankee Magazine's Community Partners awards

Article Abstract:

Thirteen individuals were cited for their exemplary community service during the 1st annual Yankee Magazine's Community Partners conference and awards luncheon which was held in Leominster, MA, on April 24, 1999. Elaine Barker of Brightside organization bagged the Barn Raiser Award while Mark Kelleher of Habitat for Humanity won the Youth Service Award.

Yankee awards for 1995

Article Abstract:

The Yankee awards for 1995 for poetry were awarded to D. Nurkse, Joan Vayo and Bill Kemmett, and awards for painting went to Tom Ouellette, Jeff Kern and Ralph Bush. The Yankee print award went to Dawn Blanchard of Henniker, NH.

Who's the cheapest of them all?

Article Abstract:

Yankee Magazine's contest for frugality attracted more than 200 entries, a few of which came in on new typing paper. The winner described how an in-law killed a mouse in church and brought it home to her cat.
