Corn is considered as an old story in the Connecticut and Deerfield River valleys of western Massachusetts. From start to finish, a corn crop means seven months of labor for Frank Ciesluk and his son Chuck for whom today corn is as much a summer food icon as lobster and ice cream.

Captain Brenda Walker
