PNC Burke passes away

Past National Commander William R.Burke died on May 6, 2001, at the age of 87. Burke was a World War II veteran who served in the navy, and had been a member of the American Legion for 54 years, including two years as the organization's National Commander.

Two Legion legends die

Article Abstract:

American Legion members Albert Keller and John T. Gable passed away on Nov. 12 and Oct 13, 1997, respectively. Keller is remembered for his courageous efforts in the Air Force in WW II while Gable is recognized for serving in the Navy during WW I.
