Article Abstract:

Both Amish and non-Amish neighbors gathered to rebuild Sam Z. Yoder's barn after his old one was burnt down by arsonists. Arsonists had already struck six Amish barns, killing numerous livestock. Usually Amish are reluctant to except help from outsiders, but Yoder welcomed it. The barn raising is described.

Rude awakening

Article Abstract:

An effective way by which courteous people can deal with nasty ones is by telling them pointblank that they are rude. This lesson was taught by a three-year-old girl, who stood up to a bully by looking at him squarely and saying simply 'You are rude.'
