Rotary telephones are being phased out, to be replaced with touch-tone apparatus. Although the new telephones allow high-technology communication, they cannot replace the childhood memories and drama which accompany a rotary telephone.

Magic in an empty lot

Article Abstract:

Childhood recreation can be a source of experiences rich in lessons. For one man, the experiences he had while at play in a neighboring empty lot taught him everything from smoking corn-cob pipes to appreciating freedom and beauty.

My turn to ride

Article Abstract:

What could have been a magical trip to the city is now a fond memory of a missed train ride. The much anticipated ride was thwarted by a well-meaning neighbor who offered a ride in his car.
