Article Abstract:

The funeral industry is going through a series of grotesque scandals involving everything from mishandled burials to the selling of cadaver parts. However, in 2001, investigators began to discover mismanagement at the Menorah Gardens cemetery in Florida and found that several dozen graves had been purposely damaged and human remains had been removed from some of the graves and tossed into the woods surrounding the cemetery.

Los Angeles doctor Francine Kaufman has undertaken a nationwide study to examine the efficacy of two different drugs on juvenile diabetes. The study would concentrate on an intensive regime of diet and exercise designed to prevent children exhibiting pre-diabetic symptoms from contracting the disease, which threatens to overwhelm an U.S. health care system.
