James and John McNeil demonstrate a kind of special bondage between brothers. James is not only big brother to John, an autistic boy, but also a caretaker and lifesaver. This is exemplary shown when James rescues John atop a power transmission tower.

Coast Guard rescuer Mike Odom battled giant waves and barely cheated death to rescue three men on a sailboat caught in a storm at sea. Odom was bestowed the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroic act.
