Article Abstract:

Ravenna was once the capital of Italy and it still has churches and mausoleums, many of them with well-preserved Byzantine mosaic decorations. The ambiance of the city is medieval, and it has open markets and open-air cafes. Several restaurants are discussed along with regional specialities.
