A memorable wine

A wine connoisseur admits that he does not know the vintage of the most memorable wine he ever tasted. He remembers drinking it in a simple inn at Italy's Simplon Pass. He says that he remembers it the most because he drank it in high spirits after an exhilarating drive through the mountains.

Going, going, gone! Wine auctions

Article Abstract:

Bidding for vintage wines at auctions is as exciting as purchasing other prized objects or desirable investments. Prices are usually more stable and reliable at a wine auction unless one of the bidders really wants a particular bottle. A 'pre-sale tasting' is not common in the US.
