Article Abstract:

A 1945 Clos Fourtet Bordeaux and a 1945 Niepoort Vintage Port were tasted from an unmarked decanter. The Clos Fourtet was mistaken for a 1982 or 1975, while the Niepoort Vintage Port was erroneously judged as a 1970. The 1945 wines are still considered one of the best vintages of all time.
