Article Abstract:

A sampling of 95 wines from the current Beaujolais crop showed several very good wines with equally good values. The Beaujolais wines' fresh flavors make them ideal for the summer. Beaujolais, which usually do not have to be aged in bottles for taste improvement, costs from $7 to $15 per bottle.

26 Chefs turn out for masters of food and wine

The lavish 14th Annual Masters of Food and Wine, held at the impressive Highlands Inn, Carmel, California, featured gourmet food complemented by wine tastings from 48 wineries. Twenty six chefs,some from premier rated restaurants, attended this celebration.
