Finding the perfect Pinot Blanc

Article Abstract:

A couple living in Germany traveled frequently to the Alsace region of France to enjoy food and Pinot Blanc wine. On one occasion, while crossing the border the French border guard is suspicious of the couple's activities until the couple shows him their empty wine bottles. The guard suggests a good vintage and lets them pass.

Forgotten cellar uncovered

Article Abstract:

Philip English, A Baltimore, MD, owner of an investment firm discovered the underground wine cellar of the previous owner, who died in the 1940's. The cellar contained some excellent wines, and more than 100 were intact. Two bottles of 1911 Chateau Margaux were among the wines found.

Article Abstract:

A pair of visitors to a Mexican border town were surprised to find a rack of wine against the wall of an inexpensive restaurant. A bottle of 1922 Chateau Haut-Brion was purchased from the proprietor for $20.
