Auction season ends with falling prices

Article Abstract:

The wine auction market saw a difficult 1991-1992 season. Prices are lower than in the previous season for most wines, including the 1985 red Bordeaux. Most California wines sold poor in London, as usual, with the exception of the wines of Chateau Woltner.

'82 Bordeaux topping '70s in price

Article Abstract:

Auction prices for 1982 Bordeaux have increased, but the 1961 vintage prices are down. Prices for Spanish and Alsatian wines, vintage Champagne and Madeira at auction are also analyzed.

Buyer's market for wide array of wines

Article Abstract:

Auction-goers found excellent bargains on such premium wines as a 1971 Chateau d'Yquem. A 1945 Mouton-Rothschild down down 9% at $1,458, and a 1953 Margaux sold for $189.
