A $25 million winery for 25 wines

A new $25 million Nickel & Nickel winery in Oakville, Calif., which opened this July, proved that even in tough times, there's no shortage of faith in the future of Napa's wine industry. Located along Highway 29, near Opus 1 and Robert Mondavi, the winery was designed for Nickel & Nickel's focus on single-vineyard, single-variety wines, which numbered 17 bottlings in 2002.
