The CBS news program '60 Minutes' reported on a Copenhagen study that indicates that drinking 3 to 5 glasses of red wine each day provides some protection against heart disease. The findings were particularly significant because more than 13,000 people were studied over a 13-year period.

The Copenhagen Heart Study showed that wine drinkers had much lower mortality rates compared to drinkers of other alcoholic beverages. The study sampled over 13,000 men and women aged from 30-70. It was the second important medical study to be released by Denmark.
