The Auction Napa Valley in St. Helena, California, which was hosted by Ryan Seacrest of American Idol fame, witnessed a record-setting $1.05 million lot. The 2006 auction raised a hefty $8.4 million, the third-highest total in the charity fundraiser's 26-year history. The $1.05 million spent for a package featuring Staglin Family Vineyard wines and an eight-day trip to Bordeaux, Champagne and Paris set a new record for a single bid.
