Article Abstract:

Embroidering on lightweight, flat-knit sweaters of almost any fiber content is quite straightforward. Attempts to control a sweater's stretchiness is presented, and a variety of machine-embroidery techniques that work well on sweaters, and some design suggestions are presented.

Western fashion is becoming very much Eastern as they adopt several Asian styles in clothing, ranging from collars to bound edges. Some of these commonly borrowed style from the East include the mandarin collar, sleeve shapes, asymmetry, layering and frog closure.

Article Abstract:

Hand embroidery can be respectably simulated with machine embroidery with thoughtful digitizing. The differences between both embroideries and the method of digitizing stitches that successfully capture the visual effect of hand embroidery are presented.
