Lifetime Cable Network's programming falls short of its marketing claim that it is a 'Television for Women.' Although CEO Doug McCormick says that its management is still unsure about how to meet women's entertainment needs, the network currently has 'more form than substance.'

A New York City resident takes a 4,000 mile road trip through the Great Plains states and recounts the places he saw and people he met along the way. Detours along the way included national parks and monuments, small town diners and drugstores and Native American reservations.
