Real-life true story: bulimia almost killed me

Kelly assesses her binge-and-purge eating disorder, also known as bulimia, as rooted in her lack of sense of self-worth. She thought that being thin would compensate for all her imagined inadequacies. Bulimia caused her a heart attack due to the massive depletion of electrolytes in her body.
