Article Abstract:

A teenager learned a valuable lesson when she joined in a track and field team. She was hesitant at first because she viewed herself as the nonathletic type. However, when she did join and was chosen for the one-mile event, she realized than one need not win the race to be a winner.

I was burned in a fire

Article Abstract:

A teenager was accidentally burned when she thought of burning all of the mementos from past love affairs. The incident left her with lasting effects both physically and emotionally. However, this later led her to realize that one should not depend on how others perceive oneself.

I lost all my hair

A teenager lost all her hair because of alopecia areata. However, she does not let her condition stop her from going out with friends and having fun. She considers herself as regular teenager who has become stronger in several ways because of her condition.
