The success of Calvin Klein's latest line of women's underwear is due to its similarity to Carter's briefs and its childhood symbolism. According to the designer, the line is his attempt at promoting the dichotomy of 'the child in the body of the woman.'

Answering phone-sex calls has become an acceptable, if not respected, line of work, often performed by family women trying to make ends meet with a second job. An interview and trial for a job is described, and a few 'operators' are interviewed.
