Too fat? Too thin?

Article Abstract:

The average birth weight of a full-term baby is 7.7 lbs. Girls on average weigh 5 ounces less than boys. Hereditary factors, size of the mother, are among the contributing factors to a baby's weight. The size of an infant at birth is not an indicator of the size as an adult.

Unsound sonograms?

Article Abstract:

The FDA is outlawing the business of providing expectant mothers with extended sonograms of their unborn fetus. The FDA has pointed out that sonograms could casue undue distress to the fetus and should not be used for non-medical purposes.

Walk on the wild side

Article Abstract:

The age of the child should be considered when planning a nature walk. Maps and diaries of the walk are good activities for school-age children. Scavenger hunts and word games can make the hike more fun.
