A moving experience

Article Abstract:

Children may be frightened by a move, especially pre-schoolers. Carefully preparing the child for the move should include letting him get acquainted with the new home if possible. Give lots of warning about the move ahead of time. Activities like coloring maps of the new place are also helpful.

Article Abstract:

A dad describes how a fishing excursion with his young sons reminds him of how removed he is from nature. From his adult perspective he tries to teach his children how to respect nature. But he learns that he, too, once related to the natural world through exploring.
