Article Abstract:
A model of non-formal adult education for use in resource and environmental management is described. The critical environmental assessment (EA) education model challenges existing patterns of resource use and addresses the problem of deficiencies in public involvement processes. Critical EA education involves both cognitive development and personal empowerment, concentrating on problem solving, social action and critical intelligence.

Article Abstract:
Grey compromise programing is a new approach for siting new air quality monitoring stations in metropolitan regions. A range of technical settings in the grey compromise programing model were assessed. A practical implementation was established through the case study of the city of Kaohsiung in Taiwan. Such an approach may be beneficial for reviewing expansion alternatives in the air quality monitoring network.
