Article Abstract:
The existing knowledge on the importance of woody plants in savanna and measures based on ecosystem dynamics, which can be utilized to restore encroached areas more successfully is summarized. The summary highlights that in a structured savanna, large trees are able to suppress the establishment of new seedlings, while maintaining the other benefits of woody plants like soil enrichment and the provision of food to browsing herbivore species.

Article Abstract:
A study is conducted in the Middle Awash Valley of Ethiopia in order to assess and compare the broad perceptions of two pastoral groups on the usage of the existing rangeland resources, and their views on constraints and possible solution is presented. Data is collected from 90 incomes Oromo and 55 Afar households.
