Article Abstract:
An investigation is conducted on how local environmental conditions and host plant distribution influence spatial variation in intensity of pre-dispersal seed predation by specialists and generalists. The results suggest that a wide range of factors influences the strength of plant-seed-predator interactions, and that the relative importance of different factors depend on the degree of specialization.

Article Abstract:
The importance of the mate availability for reproductive success in sessile dioecious organisms, and the spatial structure at various scales that are necessary to understand their dynamics are discussed. The affects of the mate availability in the pleurocarpous dioicous mosses on their fertilization success, by transplanting individual male shoots into non-sporophytic female colonies, are tested.

Article Abstract:
The effects of intraspecific and interspecific competition on demographic processes in the perennial herb Sanicula europaea, by manipulating the density of neighboring plants, are examined. The results suggest that competition is not important to the performance of established plants in the system, for Sanicula europaea.
