Article Abstract:

Chemical companies have formed community advisory panels (CAPs) as conduits to their respective communities. CAPs are used as channels of communications to build trust between the industry and the public. However, companies should choose community activists as members of CAPs to assure the public that CAPs are not being used to boost corporate interests.

The nuclear weapons moratorium freed the Nevada Nuclear Test Site for the development of solar energy. A solar enterprise zone has been established in the southern Nevada area, and it will help provide employment for defense workers who may have lost their jobs.
