A decision support for an integral multi-scale analysis of irrigation: DSIRR

Article Abstract:

Decision Support for IRRigated Agriculture (DSIRR) which is considered a to be support tool for alternative water policies as requested by Water Framework Directive and aims to analyze alternatives in production and technology. It is observed that the main role of DSIRR is its ability to provide for a basis of discussion and raising awareness amongst the farmers and their exploration of management issues to analyze alternative policy options of water management.

Water issues in comprehensive municipal planning: a review of the Motala River Basin

Article Abstract:

The extent to which water resources are considered as one of the important tools for the regulation of physical infrastructure, namely the Comprehensive Municipal Plans, is analyzed. It was studied that the emphasis on water issues is not correlated with the size of the municipal population but rather with the age of the plan.

Applying local knowledge: the contribution of oral history to wetland rehabilitation at Kanyapella Basin, Australia

Article Abstract:

The use of oral history as a tool to collate a history of the flooding, ecology and management of Kanyapella Basin is investigated. The results of this analysis is used to direct ecological research and develop alternative management options at Kanyapella Basin.
