RP helps cut trolley lead times

Article Abstract:

Supercart, a leading producer of supermarket trolleys, used AARK's rapid product development expertise to help cut the time to market its new trolley designs. The rapid product development specialist ARRK Product Development Group produced a fully functional working prototype model in a series of section using glass-filled nylon powder over a two- to three-week period, so that Supercart's design team could quickly assess the design and refine it.

Design should be championed from the top

Article Abstract:

A survey in 2004 suggests that the United Kingdom companies may not be giving product design the priority it deserves at board level. The results in a survey carried out on 100 design engineers form UK engineering companies indicate that 74% of engineering firms top management assign enough value to product designs which means that more than a quarter of these companies could be missing out on opportunities to grow their business.
