QFD in a managed care organization

Article Abstract:

The quality function deployment (QFD), reduces the product development cycle while improving quality and delivering the product at a lower costs. The member handbook is provided by a managed care organization (MCO) in order to put across to its customers the advantages of availing and, the quality and types of services provided by it. Unfortunately, customers of one such MCO had a poor understanding of its mission. Through a case study, the benefits of introducing the QFD, in such circumstances, are presented.
