Paper lab relocated

Engelhard Corp, an inorganic chemical producer, has relocated its Paper Applications Laboratory to Gordon Technical Center, a company-owned facility in Gordon, GA. The laboratory, which previously had been sited in Iselin, NJ, evaluates kaolin pigments for paper coating and filling formulations to help customers select the optimum products, resolve operating problems and develop new applications.

Fluoroelastomer plant planned

Article Abstract:

Ausimont USA Inc has started the construction of a $20-million plant at its present site at Thorofare, NJ, to increase production of the company's proprietary fluoroelastomers. The facility is expected to be fully operational by spring of 2002. Ausimont decided to increase its production capacity of flouroelastomers to cope with increasing demand, especially from North America.

Don't apply commercial - plant specifications to pilot plants

Article Abstract:

The usage of equipments of a commercial plant will increase the operational cost of pilot plants. The specifications for the equipments and procedures such as minimum nozzle size and smaller thermocouple connections to be used a pilot plant are presented.
