LCI's Multi-granulator MG-55 combines three types of low-pressure extruders. The Benchtop Kneader Model KDRJ-2 has twin shafts rotaing inward to provide intensive kneading action. The Benchtop Basket Granulator Model BR-150 is equipped with a variable speed of 0.5 hp three- phase 220 VAC motor for the main shaft and a small motor for a product discharging turntable. The Marumerizer Model Q-230T enables the user to evaluate spheronizing characteristics of small samples.

Gravity flapper diverter addresses the traditional problems

Article Abstract:

Salina Vortex offers the Seal Tite Gravity Diverter, which was designed to direct material flow away from the leading edge of the vane. It also has an access door that allows replacement of the flapper vane or seal without having to remove the diverter. It is available in four- through 16-inch square sizes and can be ordered with an air cylinder actuator, an electric linear actuator, chain-wheel, or hand-lever actuator.

Fuel cell car to be tested

Article Abstract:

DaimlerChrysler AG, an automobile manufacturer based in Auburn Hills, MI, is conducting a series of test drives in California for a new fuel cell vehicle, a new-generation NECAR. The NECAR, which is similar in design as the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, was built especially for the California Fuel Cell Partnership. Unlike the NECAR 4, which was unveiled in 1999, the California NECAR operates on pressurized hydrogen.
