Doublecheck your process simulations

Article Abstract:

Simulation programs may arguably be considered the most important tools developed for chemical engineering or process design in the 20th century. However, process simulators occasionally furnish erroneous results even though no error messages appear. Simulation results must therefore always be carefully checked before being used as the basis for process and equipment design. It is especially important to verify the heat and mass balances for any simulation to avoid the development of an incorrect design, the consequences of which may be dire.

Easily dump materials into process systems

Article Abstract:

Spiroflow Systems' bag dump stations are ideal for dumping material from bags into process machine hoppers, filling blenders, check screeners, feeding mills, and mixing tanks. They can be furnished with or without integral dust collection and can be adapted to existing dust collection equipment. Spiroflow offers the option to manufacture the equipment from mild steel or stainless steel. The company can also design the station for sanitary use with a quick-clean option.
