Automation simplifies optoelectronic manufacturing

Article Abstract:

Digital Optics Corp, a Charlotte, NC-based company, has unveiled a suite of production techniques that provides an improved level of automation and integration in making complex optoelectronics modules. The approach eliminates the problems associated with the costly manual assembly of high-performance optoelectronic components. In addition, the approach uses photolithography to fabricate passive components, such as lenses and mirrors, on wafers.
